Think on this...Words are powerful. We need only look at some parents to witness them calling their children names, completely wrecking that child's self esteem and confidence. Your ugly, stupid, etc. Sticks and stones can break your bones and words can kill you. Is it possible that you may have recieved or delivered words that destroy? If I am honest I have been damaged by many words and have probably dished it out too. I was told that I was dumb, and would not amount to anything. It took many years to get over that. I was not told I was smart until I was in the 10th grade. How crazy is that? When you look at my life to that point it makes sense. I had poor grades almost all my life, I had no real aspirations, it was sad. I was the some total of what had been spoken over me. I was told that I would probably end up like others in my family who had kids out of wedlock, been in jail, were considered perverts. I was on my way there. I already was two out of three, and that was bad. It wasn't until I had become a Christian that I could even begin to believe that I was made for greatness. I still have to remind myself of that. WORDS ARE POWERFUL! I am so thankful for Jesus because He has spoken freedom, abundant life, and greatness over me. Those words are the ones I now hold onto. I also try to look at His example and speak life over those around me. I want to encourage you to speak words of afformation and life to those around you. Tell people, who you believe they can be, and not just what they have become. Who knows, your words may be the ones that cause people to believe in themselves, maybe they'll dare to dream big, or trust God to be who He desires them to be. Make your words count! "The tongue has the power of life and death..." Prov. 18:21

Think on this…
You remember that song, don't you? All the biggest names in hip-hop coming together to, "stop the violence and kick the science." Back before women were throwing themselves at Flava Flav. The whole goal was to stop people from killing themselves. It's so relevant to our lives because, often we are the masters of our own demise. We keep very unhealthly habits that add to our own destruction.

We have all been there. How you ask? People will run from one part of the country to another trying to get away from ineffective habits and pattern. The problem is people usually find the same problems here that they had at home.
For instance if you were in a bad relationship before and now somehow you are in another here. "It's because all brothers are sorry!" If you had bad financial management, a new job won't fix that. It's a, you problem. We like to blame others for some of our destructive habits. We make the same bad choices and expect a different outcome. That is the definition of insanity.
We keep going around the same mountain and expecting that things will change because we have new scenery. If we are going to get into the bright futures many of us want and see for ourselves we first have to identify our own issues. The bible say it like this; "As a dog eats its own vomit, so fools recycle silliness." (Proverbs 26:11) Can you imagine eating you own...I will go on. But it's nasty and gets us nowhere. It's really crazy when God as an amazing buffet prepared for us.
What do we do then? We have to admit the negative cycles, realize that we can get out and ask for help. If you could have gotten yourself out you would have by now. That's the hardest part for many of us, admitting that we need help. The good news is God wants us to get busy living free then we do. The Bible says, "He knows the plans he has for us, for good, not evil to give us a hope and a future." (Jere. 29:11). He loves you no matter what you've down or how long you have been in the same rut. He wants to free you.
Then you can get your swagger back. He is the answer to getting free. He is everything you need. Everything you desire, Jesus IS. People are great, but only He can break you out and into your destiny. Then you can be, "Funky fresh, dress to impress, ready to party! "Or else it's, self destruction, you're headed for self destruction.
This is Just a Thought, and I just want you to think on it!
